I’ve always written stories, but it took me well into my adult life to become brave enough to share them. In the last ten years my writing has taken off - I finally dared to go on a couple of Creative Writing courses staring in 2010 which forced me to read aloud some of my work in front of other people. I completed an MA in Creative Writing at the University of Essex in 2016, won the Fish Short Story Prize in 2018, and was shortlisted for Best Microfictions in 2019. I’ve won a few competitions, made some long and shortlists and even been a reader for the first two rounds of the Brighton Prize in 2019. Other interests include acting and directing in the Wivenhoe Open Air Shakespeare Company, walking and photography. And endless reading, of course.

It will be great to have your contributions on the Wivenhoe Writers blog. I'm really looking forward to reading more of your work.
